As we retrace the footprints of Kynan Demarr Barrett we can only give thanks for the many lives he enriched along life’s journey. A strong, humble and quite young man, he was blessed to enjoy many of God’s blessings as a son, a brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, and trusted friend.
On August 2, 1994, Ardis Jerome Barrett and Lisa Michelle Wilson welcomed the birth of a bouncing brown bubble of joy who they named Kynan. From the beginning he was seen to be a very active and talented child.
He loved remote controlled cars, trains, hand operated games, video systems and music. As he grew older he retained his love for electronics, games systems and sports. Kynan was playfully called “Cowboy” by his family and friends.
Kynan was a 10th grade student at Gurdon High School where he excelled not only as a student, but as an athlete as well. He was a member of both the football and soccer teams. Kynan had a warm smile that would chase the chill from any room.
On Sunday, February 20, 2011, in his 16th season of life Kynan was called to his eternal home. Family, as well as, friends will miss his quite strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and compassion.
