As we retrace the footprints of Bennie Jean we can only give thanks for the many lives she touched and enriched along life’s journey.
Bennie Jean Quarles was born into time on June 10, 1926, in Dalark, Arkansas to the union of Eddie Lee, Sr. and Florence Alexander Quarles.
Bennie Jean was a faithful member of Mt. Olive African Methodist Episcopal Church. She possessed a soft and mild mannered spirit, but never met a stranger.
On May 17, 2011, at Twin Rivers Health and Rehab she transitioned from time into eternity while she slept.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son Larry Quarles, five sisters, Alberta Johnson, Nellie Joiner, Selma Murdock, Gertrude Carter, Earline Allen and two bothers, John Quarles and Ralph Quarles.
She leaves to forever cherish her love: five beloved sons, Robert C. (Floria) Starks of St. Louis, MO, Stanley D. (Charlotte) Quarles, Kenny (Oleather) Quarles, Carl E. (Gearnis) Quarles and Ronald Quarles all of Dalark, AR; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; one sister, Mattie Browning of Arkadelphia, AR, one brother, Eddie L. (Shervie) Quarles of Dalark and a host of nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
Bennie Jean Quarles was blessed to enjoy many of God’s blessings as a child, a sister, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a friend.
Ms. Qualres will lie in repose at the funeral home on Sunday, May 22nd from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m.
The last farewell and tributes to her life will be shared on Monday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olive AME Church in Dalark, Arkansas, where Rev. Linda F. Butler is the pastor and will deliver the message.
The committal service and final resting place will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
