Jeffrey Bernard Hughes was born into time on December 2, 1962 in Malvern Arkansas to Rev. James E. and Helen F. Morgan Hughes.
He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Bethel AME Church in Malvern, Arkansas. He attended Malvern High School and was a skilled carpenter and plumber.
On Saturday, June 18, 2011, he passed from time into eternity at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his father Rev. James E. Hughes.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Helen F. Flanigan of Malvern, AR; three sisters, Yolanda J. Hughes of Maumelle, AR, April S. Hughes of Maumelle, AR, and Elizabeth Harvey of Stuggart, AR; one brother, Irving B. Hughes of Memphis, TN; three aunts, Margaret Redic of Malvern, AR, Flossie Morgan of Malvern, AR and Latora Morgan of Palmdale, CA; one uncle, Daniel Hughes of Oklahoma City, OK; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and countless friends.
A service to commemorate his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. in Bethel AME Church in Malvern, Arkansas where Rev. Richard Sutton is the pastor. Rev. Henry E. Morgan will preach the eulogy. The body will lie in repose one hour prior to services.
The committal service and final resting place will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Malvern.
