Pinillios Zegary Hunter

November 17, 1928 — August 24, 2011

Pinillios Zegary Hunter was born on November 17, 1928 in Sparkman, Arkansas to the union of James and Elva Butler Hunter. Pinillios worked at the Sparkman sawmill for several years. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, gardening, farming, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends. He was not a man of many words, but of few words and of many virtues. He was a good man and a hard worker. Pinillios traveled his road of life and dealt with the stormy and sunny days along the way to the best of his ability with integrity and character. We will remember his smiles, his love, and infectious laugh. On Wednesday, August 24, 2011, in his 82nd season, Pinillios answered the call that no man can refuse and surrendered his soul to Christ. Awaiting his arrival and to welcome him home are his parents, one sister Elva J. Humphrey, one brother, James C. Hunter, a step-daughter, Marcella Murdock and his lifelong companion Rose Wright. Because love is far greater that death Pinillios departs this earth in body only. Those left to celebrate his life and remember his legacy are his son, Larry Hunter of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Norvine Hunter and Eula M. Crudup both of Los Angeles, CA; his nieces, Brenda Hunter of Los Angeles, CA; Gail (Roosevelt) Wilson of Walnut, CA; Lorraine Robinson and Darcel Fauntleroy; his nephews, Lawrence (Della) Wright of Carson, CA, and Marty Humphrey of Schenectady, NY; three step-children, Zoner Hall, Brenda Taylor, Gracie Taylor and a host of cousins and friends. Mr. Hunter will lie in state on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 from 2 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Graveside and the committal service will be shared at 12:00 noon on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Mt. Carmel cemetery in Sparkman, Arkansas. Rev. L. A. Craig the pastor of First Baptist Missionary Church of Sparkman, Arkansas will officiate.
