Lonnie Louis Rucks “Lump” began his journey of hope and wishes on July 16, 1958, in Sparkman, Arkansas as the 6th child and 5th son of Adolph and Everlean Rucks.
He grew up in a loving home and was a vigorous and outgoing child. He went to Sparkman Public Schools where became a 1977 graduate of Sparkman High School .
A year later in 1978 he was blessed with a beautiful daughter Wyletta Dilworth-Collins. He enjoyed riding ponies and horses. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working in the garden. He loved cooking telling jokes and tall tales.
In his 53rd year of life on Sunday, December 18, 2011 he passed away at his home.
He was preceded in death by his father Adolph Rucks (1994), two brothers Robert Rucks (1999), Larry Rucks (1992) and his mother Everlean Rucks (2011).
Lonnie departed this earth in body only. His personality, love and laughter will live on in the memory of his special companion Rose Harris of Sparkman; one daughter, Wyletta Dilworth-Collins and two grandchildren Darius and Tristan of El Dorado, AR; two brothers and two sisters, Johnny (Annie) Rucks of Sparkman, AR, Linda (Charlie) Matlock of Princeton, AR, L.C. (Paula) Rucks of Sparkman, AR, Loraine (Hosea) Walker of Arkadelphia, AR; one uncle Elder G. C. (Missionary Annie) Nolen of Arkadelphia, AR; two aunts Fannie Mae Eason of Milwaukee, WI, and Mariah Henderson of Sparkman, AR; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends in the Sparkman Community.

Lonnie will lie in repose on Wednesday, December 28th from 2:00 until 7:00 p.m.
A service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, December 29th at 11:00 a.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church in Sparkman, Arkansas where Rev. L. A. Craig is the pastor and will preach the celebration message.
The committal service and final resting lace will be in Harmony Cemetery in Sparkman, Arkansas.
Bearers of the casket will be Anthony L. Rucks, Jonathan L. Rucks, Kevin M. Rucks, Brandon L. House, Justin L. Rucks and Hosea D. Walker, Jr.
