Lois Ann Dupree began her journey of life on Tuesday, April 29, 1947, in New Edinburg, Arkansas when she became the daughter of Roy Dupree and Alline Avery.
Lois was raised and nurtured with love by Earlean Dupree Warner. It was during this time that she was taught; that more than anything God loved her unconditionally.
She was nurtured in a Christian environment and during her tender childhood she gave her life to Christ at St. Francis Methodist Church in New Edinburg, Arkansas. It was there that she learned how to be a servant to others. That’s when her life of servanthood began.
Lois attended Fordyce High School where she excelled as a student. She grew up to be a loving, kind and intelligent young woman.
On August 13, 1972, believing God’s Word, “….and the two shall become one flesh….” Lois Dupree became Mrs. Lois A. Johnson when she married the handsome and charming Floyd Johnson.
She was a dedicated employee of the Wagner Nursing Home in Warren, Arkansas for several years where she worked as a nursing assistant. She will be remembered as a dependable co-worker who possessed an impeccable work ethic.
Lois Ann was known throughout the community as a friendly and Godly woman with a strong devotion to God.
This sweet life came to a close on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
During all of her 64 seasons, she made friends across every race, gender, faith and creed; she freely offered wise counsel, gave generously to those in need and inspired everyone who crossed her path.
