The sun rose for Daisy Mae Johnson on October 10, 1934, in Dumas, Arkansas when she was born to Johnnie and Lillie Caldwell.
She married the handsome Tommie “Jake” and to this union four children were born.
Daisy was a homemaker and worked as a Foster grandparent at Happyland Childcare Center in Arkadelphia. She was known for her lovely sense of humor and her positive attitude. She loved her family and loved all children.
The sun set for Daisy in her 77th season on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
She was welcomed home by her parents, her beloved Tommie “Jake” Johnson, one daughter Laura Ann Johnson, who passed into eternity on November 19, 2008, two sons Johnny Jordan and Tommie Jefferson Johnson, Jr., who passed into eternity on May 12, 2009; three sisters, Marie Clayton, Marelee Smith, Ella Huggin; one brother, Theoplise Clayton and one grandchild Detric Walker.
Those left to forever cherish her memories are: one daughter Dorothy & her husband, Johnny Banks of Arkadelphia; one brother, Raymond Lee Caldwell of Little Rock, AR; six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
A memorial service remembering her life was held on Monday, May 28, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Caddo Valley.
