Eddie Herman Matlock was born into time on August 24, 1946 in Sparkman, Arkansas to the union of Wiley and Bessie Turner Matlock.
Eddie attended the Sparkman Training School and united with Harmony Missionary Baptist Church at a young age.
Eddie was born into eternity on Thursday, June 14, 2012.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Betty L. Dickerson, Zettie Brooks and Marcella Matlock; two brothers, Wiley Matlock, Jr., and T. W. Matlock.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Shelia R. Matlock of Memphis, TN and Precious Brim of Memphis, TN; three step-children, Paula Rucks, Glenn Carr and Janice Dedmon seventeen grandchildren; seven great-grandchidlren; six sisters, Bobbie Dailey of Princeton, AR, Emma Perry of Milwaukee, WI, Betty (Kenneth) Owens of Carthage, AR, Joann Matlock of Hot Springs, AR, Carolyn Johnson of Hot Springs, AR, Cora Mae Adams and her special friend John of Sparkman, AR; three brothers, Eddie (Edith) L. Matlock of Little Rock, AR, Floyd Matlock of Hot Springs, AR, Larry Matlock of Hot Springs, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends.
Tributes will be held on at 2:30 pm Saturday, June 23rd at the J. L. Williams Memorial Chapel at the funeral home. Rev. L. A. Craig will renders words of comfort.
