Elizabeth was born to the union of Mack Henry and Arilla Gray Brim on June 20, 1927 in Arkadelphia.
“Lizzie” as she was affectionately called possessed a friendly and loving spirit. She accepted Christ at a tender age and was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
Lizzie was a retired employee of the Levi Strauss Company where she worked as a seamstress. One of her greatest joys was spending time in the kitchen cooking. She specialized in baking cakes and pies.
Lizzie had her own way of loving others and making everyone feel special. She was always quick to extend a helping hand. Lizzie had a great sense of humor and always knew how to get what she wanted.
She could be spotted around town walking wherever she needed go.
On September 16, 2013, ”Lizzie” walked away from this life into the Kingdom of God and her loving Saviour’s arms. She was preceded in death by her parents Mack Henry and Arilla Brim; two children, Elizabeth Ann Williams and Calvin Browning; sisters, Nettie Mae Brim, Margie Matlock, and Mae Frances Harrell; brothers, Billy James Brim, Willie Lee Brim, Henry C. Brim and David Brim.
Lizzie leaves to cherish her love: her children, Bettie Buckley of Arkadelphia, Carolyn Browning if Arkadelphia, AR, Bill Williams of Memphis, TN, Sheldon Williams of Little Rock, AR and Tiffany Williams of Little Rock, AR; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Smith of Mt. Pine, AR and Dorothy Tucker of Hot Springs, AR. She also leaves an abundance of nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends.
The final celebration and tribute to her life & legacy will be shared at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 20th at Mt. Olive Baptist Church. Rev. Llewellyn E. Terry, Sr., will officiate. The interment will be in Piney Grove Cemetery.
Public visitation will be held on Thursday, Sept. 19th from 12 noon –6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
