Betty Ann Cole

July 7, 1941 — September 19, 2013

Into Heaven’s mansions she’s entered, never to sigh or to weep: After long years with life’s struggles, Betty has fallen asleep. Angels through heaven will guide her, Jesus will still bless and keep; Not for the world we would wake her, Betty has fallen asleep. Beautiful rest for the weary, well deserved rest for the true; when life’s journey is ended we shall again be with you. This helps to quiet our weeping – Hark Angel music so sweet! He giveth to His beloved, beautiful, beautiful sleep. Betty Ann Cole was born into time July 7, 1941 in Gurdon, Arkansas to the loving parentage of STW and Anna Lee Bowie Hughes. Betty had a very outgoing and loving spirit. She was a graduate of Bell High School and later moved to Piqua, Ohio. Her smile would light up a room anywhere she went and will be missed by all who knew her. On Thursday, September 19, 2013, Betty surrendered her soul to Christ after 72 seasons. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Dorothy J. Hughes (2010), Martha Alexander (2003) and Jessie Mae Upshaw and one brother, Daniel Hughes. Betty Ann leaves indelible impressions in the hearts and minds of her son, Bobby Allen of Dayton, OH; one grandson and one great-grandson, Dominic Allen and Dominic Allen, Jr., both of Piqua, OH; two sisters, Cleo Hughes and Willie Mae Holt both of Rockford, IL, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
