Curtis James Gentry was born into this earthly life on March 26, 1950 in Antoine, Arkansas. He was born to the union of Eddies and Gracie Beavers Gentry.
He attended Delight High School in Delight, Arkansas and a member of Antoine Church of Christ. Shortly after high school Curtis moved to Lansing, Michigan we he was employed at Motor Cars for over 26 years.
Curtis had a heart of gold and was always there for everyone. After his retirement, he spent life enjoying those things he loved the most; fishing, hunting, family and friends. He had a laugh and a smile that would brighten any day. His declining health led him to return home to Arkansas for just two weeks prior to his passing.
On Tuesday, December 3, 2013 he was born into an eternal life. He was preceded in his passing by his parents and a brother, Eddies Gentry, Jr. (Oct. 2013).
He leaves to his life’s memories with his brothers and sisters: Maretta Collier of Delight, AR, Annette Gentry, Maelene Gentry, Gloria (Troy) Avanzato and Nathan (Michelle) Gentry all of Lansing, MI, Marcella Johnson of Arkadelphia, Mary (Leotis) Snowden and Harold (LaTonya)Gentry both of Delight, AR; his aunts and uncle, Charlene Tolliver of Antoine, AR, Roberta Gentry of Antoine, AR, Earnestine Williams of Hot Springs, AR, and Clemon (Pearl) Gentry of Little Rock, AR; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Public visitation will held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
A service of celebration will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Delight Church of Christ with Rev. Richard Dixon officiating. Interment will be in Harrison Chapel Cemetery.
