On August 10, 2010, Bobby and Tia Dumas King welcomed the birth of a bouncing brown bubble of joy they named Jayshawn. A little over a year later on November 29, 2011, they welcomed the birth of another bubble of joy, Trayshawn.
They were happy babies who brought added joy to lives of those they touched. Smiling is what they did best. They had characteristics and traits like “twins” if you saw one, you saw the other. They were inseparable, even at death. At tender ages they never met a stranger. Great big smiles, lots of hugs and kisses were their trademark.
Being raised in a Christian home and having a father who was called into the ministry, they learned how to pray. When most children their age marveled at cartoons, Jayshawn and Trayshawn were interested in listening to quartet music and watching music videos of gospel legend Lee Williams. Jayshawn was a nibbler and picky eater, while Trayshawn ate everything. Fruit was a favorite delight of the two of them and they loved trucks.
On Friday, April 4, 2014, Jayshawn and Trayshawn slept into the heavens. Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? He who has clean hands and a pure heart. Psalm 24:3-4
They were welcomed home by their grandfather, John Wesley King; their uncle, James E. King; great-grandparents, John King, Jr., Charlie Burnell, Jilvie and Ledoshie Jenkins, Arlene and Onnie Gibson. They will be missed by many. Even though their life was short they touched many people and the world will be a little less bright with them gone.
Jayshawn and Trayshawn leave precious memories in the hearts of their parents, Bobby and Tia Dumas King; one sister, Taukearah Dumas; grandparents, Shirley Thrower of Rockford, IL, Catherine and Robert Burnell of Camden, AR; great-grandparents, Earline King of Sparkman, AR and Gennella Burnell of Camden, AR; six aunts, Precilla (Winfred) Thomas of Camden, AR, Lakesha Burnell of Camden, AR, Tarsha Burnell of Little Rock, AR, Temaka Burnell of Little Rock, AR, Erica (Rev. A service of remembrance will be shared with friends on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Sparkman, AR. Rev. Roy Owens will serve as the celebrant. Interment will be in Harmony Community Cemetery, Sparkman, Arkansas.
