Michael Elmond Winfrey

Michael Elmond Winfrey was born into time on January 30, 1977 in Memphis, Tennessee. Michael was the loving son of Alex and Barbara Jones Winfrey. He accepted Christ at a tender age and united with Antioch Baptist Church (Richmond Hill Community) under the leadership of his dad, Pastor Alex Winfrey, Sr. He recently united with First Baptist Church, Nashville, Arkansas where his father serves as pastor. He attended Arkadelphia High School. He was a lover of sports and always dreamed of being a football player. He never met a stranger and his friendly spirit made him easy to love. On Thursday, June 19, 2014 he passed from this life of “no mores.” His loving smile and friendly spirit will be missed by his parents Rev. Alex and Barbara Winfrey of Okolona, AR; one brother Alex Lee, Jr. and his wife Julie. He also leaves four beloved nephews, Andrew, Stephen, Marcus, Jaron and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. A celebration of Michael’s life will held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church in the Richmond Hill Community. Rev. J. L. Newborn will deliver the message. Interment will be held in Richmond Hill Cemetery.
