Annie Mae Hill

The sun rose on the life of Annie Mae Scott on February 15, 1905 when she was born in Arkadelphia to the union of Will and Mattie Scott. Annie married Percy Lee Hill and to this union one daughter was born. She was a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church and a homemaker. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her daughter and family. On December 29, 2005 Annie and her daughter Mattie moved into Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia. The sun set for Annie Mae Scott Hill, in her 103rd season of life on Tuesday, November 25, 2008, in Twin Rivers Health and Rehabilitation Center. Those awaiting her arrival and to welcome her home are: her parents, her husband, Percy Lee Hill, her daughter, Mattie Henderson who made her transition on September 5, 2008, two brothers, Willard and Henry Scott, three sisters, Geneva Scott, Ruth Jackson and Rella Scott. Her sweet spirit will linger in the hearts and minds of her grandson, Swayzer Buford of Richmond, TX; one brother, Adolphus Scott of Benton, AR; four great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, a special friend and caregiver Brenda K. Williams of Arkadelphia, AR, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Mrs. Hill will lie in state at Williams Funeral Home on Thursday, December 4, 2008 from 12:00 noon – 5:00 p.m. The committal service officiated by Dr. James H. Giles, Sr., pastor of St. Paul A.M.E. Church and final resting place will be in Richmond Hill Cemetery on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11:30 am.
