Frankie Cotledge Plummer

August 27, 1935 — February 9, 2015

Frankie Delamar Cotledge Plummer was born August 27, 1935, in Dalark, Arkansas to the union of Rev. Oliver and Zeola Delamar. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Olive AME Church. She was a graduate of Sparkman Training School. She united in marriage to John Cotledge and to that union four children were born. She later married Charlie Plummer and to this union one son was born. Frankie was a former employee of McDonald Douglass Aircraft in Los Angeles, California until she retired. She later moved back to Arkadelphia and rekindled old friendships and family ties. In her 79th season of life, Frankie passed from time into eternity on Monday, February 9, 2015, at National Park Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Oliver and Zeola Delamar; one daughter, Diana Lavender; two sisters, Elsie Ben Johnson, Maude Jones; five brothers, Leon Delamar, Sr., Algie Johnson, Horace Johnson, Claude Delamar and Clarence Delamar. Frankie leaves to cherish four children: Jackie (Deborah) Cotledge of Arkadelphia, AR, John Doug Cotledge of Los Angeles, CA, Connie (Leon) Thomas of Burbank, CA, Tony (Eleanor) Cotledge Plummer of Carson, CA; one sister, Odessa Nelson of Arkadelphia; two brothers, George (Dorothy) Delamar of Arkadelphia, AR, and Peter Delamar of Oakland, CA; fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Mt. Olive AME Church in Dalark on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 2pm with Rev. Linda Butler officiating. Burial will follow at the Houston-Turner Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2015 from 2:00pm-5:00pm.
