Hertis Wyatt was born October 29, 1948, in Marvell, Arkansas, son of the late Lawrence and Hattie Wyatt. He was the second surviving child brought by this union.
He has an older brother Arvell Wyatt who presently resides in Forest City, Arkansas with his wife Earnistine. Arvell has three daughters Lakasa, Alisha and Anetra, and two grandchildren.
He has a younger sister, Juanita Campbell who presently resides in Pine Bluff with her husband, Hendry. She has two daughters, Antigudra Clayton and Le’tia Simes, and two grandchildren.
Hertis had two children who preceded him in death, Kimberly Ruth Wyatt and James Lawrence Wyatt.
He also leaves to mourn Ruthie Wyatt, Debra Wyatt, Wayne Smith, Kery Smith, Jessica Smith, Jennifer Smith and Annette Kraft, a great number of cousins and the staff and residents of the Arkadelphia Human Development Center
He was a 1966 graduate of M. M. Tate High School in Marvell and a student of Agriculture at AM & N College (now UAPB), Pine Bluff. He was an employee of the Arkadelphia Human Development for the past 35 years.
After conquering cancer, Hertis developed other complications and expired on February 13, 2009.
He will greatly be missed by all.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the Community Family Enrichment Center, 301 North 23rd Street, Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
