William Samuel McGill was born May 7, 1961, in Little Rock, Arkansas to Harry and Cassie Mae Bailey McGill. He accepted Christ at a young age. He attended Blevins High School and worked as a general laborer. Although he had no children of his own his energy was like a magnet that would draw children to him. He loved children and they loved him. He was passionate about helping them to understand the importance of getting an education. He loved to teach them how to swim and be independent. By all accounts he was a “jack of all trades”, but his passion was motorcycles. He loved to ride and he taught several people how to ride. William was the type of person who was known to do things “his way”. He was outspoken and loved to laugh. He enjoyed his life to the fullest. Family, as well as friends, will miss his laugh and personality, but will never forget his spirit. He passed into the Lord’s embrace Monday, December 7, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Pheobie McGill-Post (December 29, 2007). William will be missed by his siblings Martha Moore of Stockton, CA, Mar McDaniel of Okolona, AR, Robert McGill (Roberta) of Chicago, IL, and Rev. James McGill (Brenda) of Blevins, AR; special friends and caregivers, Lois Parish and Lucy; Clarence and Yvonne Gulley of Bluff Cit, AR, Arlean Monk (Earnest), Ricky and Renda of Little Rock, AR. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends. An hour or remembrance will be at 12 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the J. L. Williams Memorial Chapel at Williams Funeral Home. Public visitation will follow from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
