The sweet life of Shemane Marshalle Jenkins came to a close on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton, Arkansas. Graveside services for Shemane M. Jenkins will be held Friday, January 8, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Helms Cemetery in Arkadelphia. Shemane was born November 12, 1954, in Arkadelphia to Wilford James Mitchell and Everean Preston. She was a 1973 graduate of Van Nuys High School in Van Nuys, California. She worked as a loan officer with Union Bank in Panamera, California and later worked in management at the House of Fabrics. Shemane loved to sew and decorate. She was a loving mother, sister and trusted friend. Although her earthly presence leaves a void, yet her memory will live on forever. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Barbara McJimson and Terrie Duncan; and two brothers, Thomas J, Mitchell and Clyde Mitchell. She leaves to cherish her memory: her son, Carl Jenkins (Jade) and a grandson, Carl Jenkins, III., of Seattle, WA; two sisters, Rhonda Ware of Benton, AR and Hope Mitchell of Arkadelphia, AR; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
