The sun rose for Tommie Jefferson Johnson, Jr., on January 2, 1959, in Hot Springs, Arkansas when he was born to Tommie “Jake” and Daisy Mae Caldwell Johnson.
He was a 1977 graduate of the Hot Springs High School. He was a former employee of Skippy Peanut Butter Factory in Little Rock; and he worked as Assistant Dietician at the Arkansas Veterans Retirement Home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
The sun set for Tommie in his 50th season on Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at his home in Little Rock, Arkansas.
He was welcomed home by his father, Tommie “Jake” Johnson, and his sister, Laura Ann Johnson, who passed into eternity on November 19, 2008.
Those left to forever cherish his memories are: his mother, Daisy Mae Johnson of Arkadelphia, AR; one sister, Dorothy & her husband, Johnny Banks of Arkadelphia; two brothers, Raymond Lee Caldwell of Little Rock, AR, and Johnny Johnson of Warner Robbins, GA; a special friend, Robert Brooks of Little Rock, AR, and a caravan of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and numerous friends.
A memorial service remembering the life of Mr. Tommie J. Johnson will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at the Community Family Enrichment Center at Feaster Park in Arkadelphia - 301 North 23rd Street.
