Mary Beard

July 19, 1939 — September 18, 2016

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14:1-4 On Sunday, September 18, 2016, God summoned for His angel, Mary Beard, to come home to the place that He had prepared in His Heavenly Kingdom. On July 19, 1939, Mary Beard was born to the union of L. B. and Georgia Mae Goshen Beard in Camden, Arkansas. She was full of life, and possessed such a warm spirit that would brighten anyone’s day. She was raised in a Christian home and she accepted Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Mary was a homemaker and great cook. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved to color. Mary was a member of New Beginnings Deliverance Church in Camden under the leadership of Apostle Kevin Tate. Highlights of her life were spent surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Irnie M. Williams, Joyce A. Dailey and Dorothy F. Beard; two brothers, Elma Lee Beard and Marvin Brice, one son Michael Beard (1993) and two great-granddaughters. Although she is no longer with us in body, and her loving presence will be deeply missed. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of her children: Bertha Goyson of Camden, AR, Douglas (Ann) Beard of Camden, AR, Jarvis Beard of Durham, NC, Anthony Beard of Ft. Smith, AR, Shirley Beard of Camden, AR and Zachary Beard of Cleveland, OH; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Williams of Dallas, TX and two brothers, Robert Young of Washington, D.C., and Henry Barnes, Jr., of Shreveport, LA. She also leaves an abundance of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Public visitation at the funeral home will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22, 2016. A celebration of her life will be held at 11a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Revelations Ministries, 1945 California NW, Camden, Arkansas with Apostle Kevin Tate, eulogist.
