Samuel “Jack” Snowden; known as a hero to some; a legend to many! He was a very hard worker, who worked from sun up to sun down. At the age of fourteen “Jack” began working in the log wood. He also worked in pulp wood, and fire wood, as long as his health would allow.
He was a mechanic and a true, “jack of all trades.” He created, designed and built his own tractor and his own wood splitter. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and raising hogs. He always kept a yard full of family and friends. He was a valued individual who loved engaging and interacting with people. Helping anyone who needed him, was not an obligation, but a calling, a passion; that never required a second thought.
There was nothing “Jack” couldn’t accomplish. He was a man that left his family and friends with uncountable and unmeasurable memories.
We will miss him dearly, but we know, he’s in his new home, not made by the hands of man.
