KEDRE’US DE’JUAN NORVELLAs we retrace the footprints of Kedre’us De’ Juan Norvell we can only give thanks for the many lives he enriched along life’s journey. A strong, and quite young man, he was blessed to enjoy many of God’s blessings as a son, a brother, fiancé, expectant father, grandson, nephew, cousin, and trusted friend. On March 16, 1995 Jacqueline Norvell and Doug Easter welcomed the birth of a bouncing brown bubble of joy who they named Kedre’us. From the beginning she knew he would grow up to be a very active and talented child. Kedre’us “Nuky”/ “Dre” was a 2013 graduate of Gurdon High School where he excelled, not only as an athlete, but as a student as well. He was a member of the football team where he played the running back position jersey #22. He maintained good grades and made friends easily. He loved his classmates; they were his sisters and brothers. He had a warm smile and at times he was of few words, he had a big heart. Kedre’us was that cool, laid-back friend who was in tune with the latest trends and fashions of the 21st century. He had a great sense of humor and never met a stranger. He lived life to the fullest. His greatest joy was the expectation and anticipation of the birth of his daughter, Kataliah Marie Norvell. He was an employee at the Wal-Mart Supercenter in Arkadelphia. He worked hard to provide for his young family. He attended Kingdom Authority Christian Ministries where he had played the drums at one time. He enjoyed football and his favorite basketball team was the Los Angeles Lakers. In his free time he enjoyed video games and loved making music; he was a self proclaimed rap artist. He and his friends would spend hours creating lyrics and laying tracks. On Monday, May 29, 2017, Kedre’us traded time for eternity and departed from this life. Although he is no longer here in body, his memory will live on forever. We wish to acknowledge and give thanks to all the friends and extended family members for your support and care. We especially wish to thank all of those who lifted up prayers, sent beautiful cards and text messages, made telephone calls, came by to visit and showered us with care. Words cannot express our gratitude to each and every one of you for being there when we needed you the most. Special thanks to the Gurdon Public School District and the entire Gurdon Community. Today we gather not to count the years in his life, but to celebrate the life in his years.
