Melissa Rose Howard Dennis came into the world on February 1, 1984 and those who were touched by her life would never be the same. Her parents Lloyd and Geraldine knew right away that Melissa would one day make a forever lasting impression in this world. As a baby she was active and exploratory; she warmed up easily to anyone and possessed an infectious giggle and smile that would melt any heart.
Melissa attended Greater Love Church of God in Christ occasionally and was very outgoing and made friends with ease. Melissa knew the value and worth of being a true friend. She loved being in the company of family and friends; and was often the center of attention. She married Derrick Dennis on August 29, 2013 and the Lord added Jatarius to her life.
Melissa was a certified nurse’s assistant and worked at every nursing facility in Camden. She had a heart of gold and caring for others came natural for her. She also worked as an overnight stocker at Wal-mart.
Melissa was so excited about being a mother and on October 7, 2017 she celebrated with family and friends the upcoming arrival of her first child and daughter Journee D’Ann.
In the last season of her life on Friday, October 20, 2017, she was blessed to share her transition with her family and friends at her side. Melissa’s death has been swallowed up in Victory.
