Geraldine Gentry Dixon was born February 4, 1942 in the Pike County, Arkansas to the union of Norman Gentry, Sr., and Oreather McDaniel Gentry. She was baptized in the Church of Christ and grew up to be a beautiful and loving young lady. She married Bobby Dixon and to this union six children were born. Like seasons things change and although their marriage ended their friendship never changed. Geraldine was a great mother and took her role seriously. She worked hard, maintained a household with six children and always made sure they were clean and fed. She worked at Poulan Weedeater in Nashville for several years. She was not a woman of glitz and glam, but her appreciation for simplicity made her beautiful both inside and out. She was fun loving and easy to satisfy. Her hobbies were word search puzzles and watching soap operas. She loved her family and her friends. After 75 seasons of life she passed on Thursday, November 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two grandchildren, Kenneth Cook, Jr., and Sonya L. Cook; siblings, Mary Matlock, Norman Genty, Jr., Truman Gentry, Floyd Gentry and Ralph Gentry. Those left to live in her rays of love and laughter are children: Bobby Dixon, Jr., of Okolona, AR, Sandra (Ottis) Harris of Hope, AR, Claude Dixon of Okolona, AR, Norma (Richard) Payne of Killeen, TX, Citronella Dixon of Okolona, AR and Dejuanna (Jeremy) Northcross of Ashdown, AR; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
