John Lee "Buddy" Wesley was born on July 31, 1942 to Theodis Wesley and Beatrice Dedmon Wesley in Sparkman, Arkansas. He received his formal education from Sparkman Training School. Born in a devoted Christian home, Buddy accepted Christ at an early age and united with Harmony Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev F. O. Jones. He passed into the Lord's embrace on November 25, 2017 at his home in Milwaukee. Buddy met the love of his life, Billie Jean Hughes and they were united in holy matrimony on August 14, 1959 in Sparkman, Arkansas. Their union was blessed with six children. He relocated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1960. He was employed by General Casing for twenty years, he was a driver for Safe Line Bus Company for ten years and was a driver for Curative Care Network for ten years.He dedicated his life to his church, Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of the late Rev. Bendell Nichols. He was ordained as a Deacon for over thirty years with a servants heart. He later moved his family to Trinity Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Harold D. Turner, Sr. He continued as a Deacon with a servants heart.He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodis Wesley and Beatrice Dedmon Wesley. He leaves memories in the hearts of his beloved wife of fifty-eight years, Billie Jean Wesley; his children, Priscilla Wesley, Larry Wesley, Tammy R. Wesley, Kevin B. Wesley, Kimberly M. Wesley and Jeffrey L. (Sandra) Wesley; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends.
