I am a soldier in the army of my God. The Lord Jesus Christ is my Commanding Officer.
The Holy Scripture is my code of conduct. Faith, prayer and the Word are my weapons of warfare.
I have been taught by the Holy Spirit, trained by experience, tried by adversity and tested by fire.”
Yeva Michelle was born into this life on January 9, 1959 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Vivian Williams Hudson and Martin Hudson. As a child she was active, sweet and a protector of her younger sisters and brothers. Her mother later met and married Lawrence Harris, Sr. He loved Yeva as his own daughter and played a very active role in her up-bringing. She accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Yeva attended school in the Arkadelphia Public School District and was a 1976 graduate of Arkadelphia High School. She enlisted in the United States Army and served for 20 years. While being stationed from base to base during her service she met and made friends all over the country. Yeva moved to Little Rock, Arkansas and finished her last two years of military service. She attended Pulaski Tech and was baptized on July 20, 2016 at St. Andrews Growing Church in Little Rock, Arkansas. Yeva worked security and was a “no nonsense character”. Yeva was a loving and caring mother to Yesman and Karl’ Fredrick and compassionate grandmother to Deshun, Kyliee Harris and Karl’ Fredrick, Jr. Her family was the center of her life. She was the cool, laid back mother who enjoyed the company of young people. Her energy, enthusiasm and spirit easily rubbed off on those she encountered. Although Yevs’a life would seem too short to many, those who crossed her path will forever cherish those fond memories. December 25, 2017 marked the beginning of a new day; a beautiful new adventure. She leaves a legacy of strength and determination, both of which are evident in the hearts of her children, Yesman Harris and Karl’ Fredrick D. Harris both of Little Rock, AR; her husband, Angelo Clark of Little Rock, AR; grandchildren, Deshun Harris, Kyliee Harris, Karl’ Fredrick Harris, Jr., and an expecting baby girl. She also leaves her beloved mother, Vivian Harris of Arkadelphia; her sisters, Carolyn Harris, Karlean Green, Toni Harris-Patterson, Donna Whitaker, Ericka Hudson and Deanna Smith-Jones; brothers, Alvernon Rogers, Lawrence Harris, Jr., and Kyle Hudson, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, friends and acquaintances.
