Willie Mack Conner

Willie Mack Conner was born on April 1, 1932 in Gum Springs, Arkansas to Samuel Conner and Ada Ritchie Conner. He was raised by his beloved sister Florida Mae Gillette and he attended St. Ruth Missionary Baptist Church with her from time to time. Willie was former employee of International Paper Company in Gurdon, Arkansas for several years. He enjoyed watching baseball and his favorite team was the New York Yankees. He loved the life he lived and lived the life he loved. He passed into the Lord’s embrace on Sunday, December 31, 2017 at Courtyard Gardens in Arkadelphia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Florida M. Gillette (December 10, 2013). He leaves three nieces, Flora Stephens of Atlanta, GA, Karen Norris of Sherwood, AR and Loretta Summerville of Hot Springs, AR and one nephew, James (Laura) Gillette of El Paso, TX; great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and a special friend Willie “Hop” Tate.
