Angeline White-Kelley

September 27, 1949 — April 11, 2010

Angeline was born to the parentage of the Bro. Bearl Buck White, Sr., and Sis. Althea Mae Clary White in Sheridan, Arkansas on September 27, 1949. She confessed her faith in Christ at tender age. She was a 1968 graduate of AA Wilson High School in Malvern, Arkansas. In her later years she united with Lighthouse C.O.G.I.C. under the leadership of Elder Darrell Sanders. She was a faithful member serving on the usher board and the hospitality board until her health would no longer permit her to do so. Believing God’s Word, “….and the two shall become one flesh….” she married Joe L. Kelley and together they raised Larry, Ramona and Joseph. Angeline was a part of that generation that counted motherhood as a virtue because mothers knew the difference between a house and home. So her golden accomplishment in life was to make a loving home that would produce a tapestry of memories her family would forever cherish. Her favorite saying was “If the Lord’s Willing” and she found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren. In her 60th season of life on Sunday, April 11, 2010 at HSC Medical Center Angeline traded time for eternity and now rests in the arms of Jesus. She leaves to celebrate and honor her life’s journey: her husband, Joe, three children, Larry D. (Bobbie) White of Malvern, AR, Ramona Kelley of Hot Springs, AR, and Joseph Kelley of Malvern, AR; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; three sisters, Merle (Cleveland) Bass of Malvern, AR, Darlene (Bobby) Carter of Portland, OE, Lisa Cooper of Prattsville, AR; four brothers, Burnice Jimerson of Flint, MI, Bearl (Lacy) White, Jr., of Malvern, AR, Raymond (Donna) White of Alexander, AR, and Marvin (Stephanie) White of Hot Springs, AR. She also leaves a brother-in-law, Freeman Kelley, Robert Phillips, Rev. Charles (Belinda) Dobbins and Larry Curry all of Malvern, AR; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and the Lighthouse COGIC family. Many lives have been made brighter and more enriched because of Angeline White Kelley. Mrs. Kelley will lie in state on Friday, April 16, 2010 from 4 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. in the sanctuary of Lighthouse COGIC – 1734 E. Paige St. Malvern, Arkansas. The last farewell will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 17, 2010 in the sanctuary of Lighthouse COGIC – 1734 E. Paige St. Malvern, Arkansas. Elder Darrell Sanders the pastor will deliver the message. The committal service and final resting place will be in St. John Cemetery in Grapevine, Arkansas. The bearers of the casket will be Rickey Lee, Rodney Doby, Daniel Luton, Patrick Lomack,Terence Matlock, Clark Cooper, David Roberson, and Richard Caine.
