As we retrace the footprints of Sharon we can only give thanks for the many lives she touched and enriched along life’s journey. A bold and self confident woman, she was blessed to enjoy many of God’s blessings as a child, a sister, a wife, a mother, grandmother and a friend.
Sharon Trinette was born into time on August 14, 1952, in Gary, Indiana. She was the only child of Leon and Elsie Hubbard.
She attended Bell High and later attended Camden Beauty College where she excelled as a modern hair stylist of that time.
Sharon was a licensed beautician and owned the first black beauty salon in Gurdon named “Touch of Class”. She was a faithful member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church.
She married T. S. Ollison and to this union two children were born Carlton and Letitia. She later married Ronnie Lasker and to this union one daughter was born LaDonna and the Lord added to their union Tekelia, Crystal and Dorsey.
Sharon possessed a great sense of humor and was often know as the "Queen of Comedy".
Sharon received her blessing of immortality on Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia.
Those awaiting to welcome her home are brother in love James Bell, She leaves her husband, Ronnie Lasker; her children Carlton (Valerie) Ollison of Dallas, TX, Letitia Ollision of Hot Springs, AR, LaDonna (Clifton) Goshen of Gurdon, AR, TeKelia (Tyrone) McKenzie of Arkadelphia, AR, Crystal (Gary) Freeman of Montgomery, AL, and Dorsey Kelly of Raleigh, NC; six grandchildren, Nakia, Chassidy, Darion, Trinity, Christopher, Joshua and one expected great-granddaughter Layla; her mother in love, Quarlie Turner of Gurdon, AR; four sisters, Lisa Bell, Pam Williams, Gloria Bazzelle and Belinda Gentry; her brothers in love Robert Turner and Doyle Wilson; three aunts, Elosie (Joe) Anderson of San Jose, CA, Tina Miller of Murrieta, GA, Izetta (Verdell) Taylor of Lawrence, KS; one uncle Horace (Leslie) Hubbard of Rockford, IL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and friends.
Mrs. Lasker will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family will receive friends and family 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 15, 2010, 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, Rev. Johnny Harris will be officiating.
The committal service and final resting place will be in Rose Hedge Cemetery.
