Mary Weatherspoon

Mary Jewell Weatherspoon, 60, of New Boston, Texas, died Monday, December 6, 2010, in Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas. Mary was born May 18, 1950, in Prescott, Arkansas daughter of Henry and Maggie Williams Simmons. She was a member of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Gurdon and worked as a Home Health Nurse. Mary leaves her memories with her children, Tony (Lavern) Lawston of Texarkana, Texas, and Gloria (Lynn) Gillard of Prescott; one brother, David (Dorothy) Marshall of Prescott; four sisters, Mary (Rev. William) Colbert and Constance (Curtis) Unice of Prescott, Katherine (John) Monk of Hope and Loretta (Emmanuel) Johnson of Texarkana, Texas; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The homegoing celebration will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Prescott. Rev. Mickey Manning is the pastor and Rev. Herbert Adams the pastor of New Beginnings COGIC will deliver the celebration message. The committal service and final resting place will be in DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott.
