Betty Sue Barton, age 57, of Arkadelphia, Arkansas was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, January 3, 2022, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. She was born August 17, 1964, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to the late Virginia Atkinson and Henry Barton. Betty was a member of Christ Temple Holiness Church of Arkadelphia. She graduated from Arkadelphia High School in 1982.
Betty was employed by Group Living, Inc., as the ADC Cook where she displayed her culinary talents – to the delight of the Group Living Staff and clients, for 26 years until her health declined. Not only did she have a passion for cooking, but she also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing cards and cheering on her beloved Dallas Cowboys football team. Betty had a generous heart and enjoyed sharing the fruits of her culinary talents with others, and she will be truly missed.
Betty is preceded in death by her aforesaid parents, her siblings: Henry Barton, Jr., Kattie Mae Barton Donerson, Beatrice Barton Furr and Nathaniel Barton.
Betty leaves to cherish and honor her life’s legacy, the love of her life - her daughter, Virginia Madison House of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; siblings: Marsha (Carl) Buckley, Willie (Glenda) Barton, Renell Hunter, Maxine Smith, and Kevin Barton all of Arkadelphia, Arkansas; Hezy Lee Barton of Okolona, Arkansas, Mae Ella Sue Dyer of Cincinnati, Ohio as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and lifelong friends.
The family of the late Betty Sue Barton wishes to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude for the lovingkindness, generosity, prayers, and words of comfort during their time of loss. The family would also like to extend a special thanks to Dianne Sealy, the Group Living staff and clients and LaFoy Smith.

No funeral or memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a memorial service is scheduled. Family and friends may pay their respects by viewing the Image of Life DVD and signing the guestbook on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
