Betty Jean Beasley

July 31, 1952 — April 27, 2022

Betty Jean Beasley was born into this life on July 31, 1952, in Gurdon, Arkansas to the union of Cleader Beasley and Gean McPeak. She was adopted by Charlie Beasley and was the 2nd of 12 children born. Growing up in a large family she was taught that family should always stick together. She attended Bell High School. Betty was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and later united with Bethel AME Church under the leadership of Rev. Betty Gulley.

Betty married her high school sweetheart, Herbert W. Bell, Sr., and to this union, four children were born, Rose, Herbert, Jr., Monica, and Sam. Although their marriage would end, they remained close friends. Later in life, she met her loving companion Lee Quarles and they welcomed the birth of Pamela. They had a loving relationship and she always desired the best for her family.

She was a former employee of Diamond Country for several years. She also worked for Petit Jean Poultry for over 18 years. She made many friends and enjoyed spending time with her family. Betty was the life of the party and would always wear her shades. Her family was everything to her and she was “Mama Betty” to all of her kids. Her home was always open to anyone that needed a home and a cooked meal. She’d stay glued to the tv watching “The Young and the Restless” and the Lifetime channel. She loved music with her favorite being gospel and she enjoyed a little bit of Betty Wright. She would sing with joy.
