Beverly ReGina Johnson

December 12, 1968 — December 21, 2023

Sparkman, Arkansas

For everything, there is a season, and a purpose under Heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die, a time to pluck up that which was planted, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to break down, and a time to build up, a time to weep, and a time to laugh. A time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for love, and a time for war, and a time for peace.  Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

The world became a brighter place on December 12, 1968, in the lives of Lee Junior Johnson (Jan. 29, 2022), and Lovie Johnson Henderson Nee Taylor on the arrival of their beautiful bouncy baby girl. They affectionately named her Beverly ReGina Johnson. She acquired the nicknames of “Two” and “Tootie” before birth. On December 21, 2023, Beverly peacefully transitioned in her sleep into eternity with her daughter La’Gina at her bedside at CHI St. Vincent in Hot Springs, AR.

Beverly’s church membership was with the former St. James AME Church in Sparkman, AR, where she became a member at a young age, and she served until it closed. She was a 1988 graduate of Sparkman High School. She attended business school in Hot Springs, AR.

Giving birth to her children was her life’s greatest accomplishment. She was a proud, smiling, happy, carefree, tree-climbing girl. She was always friendly, and very outgoing, with a unique personality that included her parole plan. She loved family gatherings, partying, fishing, and R&B music. She loved to go on cruises. Traveling was her favorite pastime. She loved her family and was a 100% daddy’s girl.

Beverly was preceded in death by her son, Jar'Veez O'Brian Price (November 21,m 1995 - October 12, 2021), and her father, Lee J. Johnson (May 16, 1944 -January 29, 2022).

Life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only a horizon, and a horizon is nothing, save the limit of our sight. – Rossiter Worthington Raymond

She will live and be forever loved in the memories we keep by her loving and devoted daughter La’Gina Price of East Camden, AR; her dedicated and loving mother, Lovie Taylor Henderson of Sparkman, AR; her loving big brother, Rodney (Wilma) Johnson of McKinney, TX; stepmother, Linda Johnson of Arkadelphia, AR; nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, best friends, Edna Newburn, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Steel, other friends and extended family members.
