Brandon DeWayne Sims

Brandon DeWayne Sims was born into this life on January 16, 1984 in Camden, Arkansas to Janice Sims Bell and William Fricks, Sr.

He attended Camden Elementary School and was a 2002 graduate of Prescot High School. Brandon was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City, Arkansas where Rev. Jerry Bishop is the pastor.

Brandon’s nickname was “Spec” and everyone knew him. He never met a stranger and made friends easily. He was an employee of PACTIV Corporation in Malvern, Arkansas. He favorite pastimes was hanging with his family and friends. He was a die-hard Greenbay Packers fan.

He departed this earthly journey on November 2, 2018 at his home in Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Herbert Williams, Bell, Sr; his grandparents, Donnie and Clara Sims, Lee Edwards Fricks, Van Laster, Melissa Laster, Roxie Gill, I D Laster; and a niece, Ashley Fricks. 

Those left are his mother, Janice Sims Bell of Hot Springs, AR; his son, Braedyn Sims; a bonus daughter, Tara Love of Emmett, AR; sisters, Crystal Sims of Hot Springs, AR, Rose Bell of Gurdon, AR, Monica (Robert McDore) Bell of Gurdon, AR, Angela (Derrick) McKenzie of Chidester, AR and Wanda Fricks of Chidester, AR; brothers, Reginald (Stephanie Randle) of Percy, AR, Dextra (Cheri Mertz) Sims of Hot Springs, AR, Herbert (LaShiro) Bell of Gurdon, AR, Sam (Tracy) Bell of Gurdon, AR and William Fricks of Arkadelphia, AR; grandparents, Bertha Sims Arberry, Lenzy Arberry, Elaine Smith and Willie Smith, Bennie C. Fricks, Clara and Donnie Sims, Lee Edward Fricks, Roxie Gill and Van Laster; god-mothers, Tonette Sims, Michelle Sims Brown, Calra Gulley; his godfather, Ronnie Gulley; a special niece whom he loved very much and cherished her like his own daughter, Crystaja “Stank” McKillion; special friends, Quention Morris, Tevin Young and William Morris; a special aunt and uncle, James and Clara Brown; god brothers and sisters, LaRonica Gulley, LaToya Sims, TreRon Gulley, Quantas Gulley and Quinterion Gulley. He also leaves a total of 31 nieces and nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
