Carrie Mae Jackson

Services to commemorate the life of Carrie M. Jackson will be held graveside at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Eternal Rest Cemetery in Camden, Arkansas. There will be no public visitation.

Carrie Mae Jackson was born on March 10, 1932, in Camden, Arkansas to Sarah Hamilton and Ira P. Jackson. At an early age, she made a personal decision to accept Christ as her Savior.

Carrie graduated with her high school diploma from the Camden Public School District. She furthered her education by becoming a certified nurse’s assistant and worked in home health. She had a heart for serving others. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and loved ones and contributing her time and talents to be a blessing to anyone she encountered.

In her 91^st season of life Carrie received the call that she so anxiously awaited, the call from labor to reward. She was preceded in death by her parents, children, Carrie Torrence, and Linda Moore.

She leaves a legacy in her two children, James Grayes, Jr., of Albuquerque, NM, and Jolene (Gary) Hines of Dallas, TX; ten grandchildren, Tracy Torrence, Troy Torrence, Jackie Moore, Michael Grayes, LaToya Grayes, Trendolyn Torrence, James Grayes, III., Ricky Millbrook, Garri Hines, Tamaro Hines; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, friends and other relatives. While we will all miss her loveable, physical presence, Carrie’s livelihood and wit will be remembered through all of the memories of the good times we each shared with her.
