Cavashia Ravon Nicole Young came into the world on January 26, 2004 and those who were touched by her life would never be the same. Her parents Latrice and Calvin knew right away that she would one day make a forever lasting impression in this world. As a baby she was active and exploratory; she warmed up easily to anyone and possessed an infectious giggle and smile that would melt any heart.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church and loved to sing. Her zest for life and adventure led her to a hope of endless possibilities of becoming a college student. With a youthful spirit, she continued to study and play with the exuberance of a teenager, all while continuing to make more friends and leave a lasting impression.
She was an exemplary student and a recent graduate of Prescott High School. She ran track and field, and was a member of FCCLA, UPLIFT and FBLA. She was very outgoing and made friends with all races. Cavashia knew the value and worth of being a true friend. She loved being in the company of family and friends; and was often the center of attention.
If ever a title existed “Selfie Queen” she was. Cavashia loved to scroll Facebook and post “selfies,” she also used it to keep up with family and friends, send an encouraging message or post her daily activities.
Cavashia passed from this life on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, her smile and love will be missed. Cavashia’s death has been swallowed up in Victory. Her life has just begun.
Those left to relish in her memory are: her mother, Latrice Sockwell of Prescott, AR; her father, Calvin Young of Hope, AR; two sisters, Cazaria Wingfield and BriAsia Lawson both of Prescott, AR; and two brothers, Michael Todd and Cavontae Young both of Hope, AR; her grandparents, James and Opal Jean Young and Lorethia Wingfield; an uncle, Matthew (Roshonda) Young and her bestfriend, Cassidy Christopher. Cavashia also leaves and abundance of family and friends who loved her and added to the richness of her life.
