Clarence Horton Jr., 52 of Brinkley, passed away on Friday evening, July 22 at Forrest City Medical Center in Forrest City. He was born March 14, 1970 in Brinkley, Arkansas to Earlene Dickson-Horton and Clarence Horton Sr.
Clarence was a lifelong member of Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Brinkley. Clarence received his education from the Brinkley Public Schools. He was a member of the Brinkley High School Class of 1988.
Clarence was employed by Riviana Foods in Brinkley for more than a year. He had previously been employed Kroger Food Center in Brinkley for more than 33 years.
Clarence was united in holy matrimony to Carrol Harris on June 1, 1991.
His parents: Clarence Horton Sr. and Earlene Horton; a brother Steven Horton; two sisters: Mary Ann Terry and Rene Thomas; his paternal grandmother Daisy Horton; nephew Lorenzo Jordan and an aunt Daisy Thomas all preceded Clarence in death.
Survivors are: his wife of 31 years Carrol Horton of Brinkley, AR; four sons: DeAngelio Horton and Jeremy Horton, both of Little Rock, AR; Urcell Horton of Jonesboro, AR; and Steven Horton of Brinkley, AR; four daughters: RIckara Horton of Little Rock, AR; Diamond Horton of Conway, AR; Sherika Horton of Benton Harbor, MI; and Miranda Huggins of Jacksonville, AR; his grandchildren: Indiyah Horton, Makenzie Horton, Ryane Matlock, Zaria Horton, Zoey Horton, Lynden Horton, Urcell Horton Jr., Mycah Brown, Mahki Brown, Lamar Matlock and Kasen Horton; his mother-in-law Carolyn Whitmore of Little Rock, AR and his father-in-law Eugene Harris Sr. of Brinkley, AR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be Friday, July 29, 2022 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ, 719 North New Orleans in Brinkley. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2 p.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 509 North Emmons Avenue in Brinkley with Superintendent Oliver Smith, officiating. Interment will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley by Williams Funeral Home with C.J. Williams LFDIC.
Pallbearers will be Albert Smith, Michael Adell, Elmer Calahan Jr., Kentrell Williams, Gary McGoy and Albert Smith Jr.
