Cleveland Cliff Jones was born on February 22, 1949 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas to Booker T. Jones Sr., and Zenobia Jones, who preceded him in death. He was raised in a loving Christian home with his parents and siblings. While growing up, he attended Piney Grove AME Church. He attended and graduated from Peake High in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He later went on to further his education by obtaining an Associate Degree. Shortly after High School, he joined the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War from 1969-1971. Later moving to Detroit MI, and working at Chrysler Automotive Company until his retirement. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He leaves to cherish in his loving memories: the love of his life JoeAnn Tommie. His children Kenya Daniel and Angela Harris-Smith; one grandson preceded him in death (Elijah Smith III); seven grandchildren: Terell Daniel, Jalen Watson, Diamonique, Malik, Donovan, Crystal and Sapphire Smith; three great-grandchildren Carson & Kaiser Hamilton and Paisley Smith; Sisters: Rosetta Jones (Detroit MI), Doretta Peterson (Arkadelphia, AR), Dr. Janice (Michael) Walker (Jacksonville, AR), Brothers: Booker Jones Jr., Leroy Jones (Jacksonville, AR), and Johnnie Jones (Arkadelphia, AR). He was preceded in death in death by one sister, Joyce Jones, and five brothers (Charles, Fred, and Arthur Jones, Marrie and James Archie). He leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Public visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. of Friday, April 8, 2022 with the family receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. The family gathering will be on LIVE at the Williams Funeral Home Facebook page. Services will be held graveside at noon on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at Piney Grove Cemetery with Military Honors.
