On January 13, 1964, James and Quarlee Turner Bell were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Delois Flecia Bell. She was known to everyone as “Lisa”.
Lisa attended Gurdon High School and was a member of Mt. Canaan Baptist Church. A lifelong resident of Gurdon, she worked for over 20 years as a cook with the Gurdon Public School District.
She was known widely for her warmth, fun loving spirit, and dancing. She enjoyed shopping and cooking, but nothing could take the place of the quality time she sent with her grandsons.
Lisa modeled what true friendship was. Always pleasant and never meeting a stranger she will be remembered by many, and remain in our hearts as the days continue.
Many family members and friends rallied behind her as she battled cancer. However, it was her faith and trust in the Lord that carried her through until the end. After an enduring fight she passed from this life on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. She was preceded in death by her father, and brothers, Robert Tuner, Doyle Turner and James Bell. Lisa’s death has been swallowed up in Victory and her life has just begun.
Lisa leaves lasting memories with her mother, Quarlee Turner of Gurdon, AR; her husband Jerome Henry of Gurdon, AR; her children, Chauncey (Latasha) Charles of Malvern, AR, Alecia Bell (Torey Dixon) of Arkadelphia, AR and O’Bryan Bell (Jaretta Purifoy) of Gurdon, AR; her handsome grandsons, Alunzo Leeper, Javion Dixon, Jakari Dixon and O’Siah Bell; her sister, Pamela Williams of Raleigh, NC and her brother, Thomas Ollison of Gurdon, AR. She also leaves nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
