Deloris Robinson was born on September 6, 1956, in Hughes, Arkansas. She graduated from Hughes High School in 1975 and received her bachelor’s degree from Henderson State University in 1979 where Deloris pledged to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Deloris also received her master’s degree from Henderson State University in 1991.
On January 21, 1979, Deloris married the love of her life Paul Robinson Sr. They shared a loving marriage for 34 years. He preceded her in death on July 13, 2013. God blessed this union with three wonderful children.
At an early age, Deloris accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior. Deloris was a devout Christian and was a long-time member of Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist church.
After college Deloris became a librarian at Henderson State University where she worked for several years. After she received her master’s degree, she became a Childcare Licensing Specialist. She worked for the Department of Human Services until she retired in 2009.
Deloris loved listening to Gospel music. She loved talking on the phone with her sister Mary and her line sisters.
Deloris is preceded in death by her husband and daughter Charmaine Robinson.
She leaves two sons, Paul, Jr., and wife Mindy of Centerton, AR, and Andrew Robinson of Arkansas; one granddaughter, Jade Johnson of Centerton, AR; brother, Jack Hicks of Minneapolis, MN; brother, Freddie Hicks of West Memphis, AR; and a sister, Mary Hicks of Springdale, AR. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and friends.

Public visitation will be held on Friday, July 23, 2021, from 1:00 pm-6:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home with the Ivy Beyond the Wall Ceremony beginning at 6:30 p.m. The final celebration will be held graveside Saturday, July 24, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Arkadelphia with Dr. Lewis A. Shepherd, Jr., officiating.
