“You said you would take me to Glory
To sit at the welcome table
Rejoice with my mother in heaven
And I’m stepping out on your Word”
On September 23, 1949 a bouncy baby boy made his entrance into GOD’s world, by way of the marriage union of James Thomas Taylor (February 4, 2005) and Inez Taylor of Sparkman, AR (April 24, 1992). He was the third child and his given name was Emmanuel Taylor, also known as, “Hawk”.Emmanuel was a very active child at an early age. He united with First Missionary Baptist Church in Sparkman, Arkansas and was a 1968 graduate of the Sparkman Training School. He was working in East Camden at a government defense plant when he was drafted into the Army in 1969. He served in the Vietnam War and re-enlisted a second time. He was very talented and intelligent and made friends easily. After his re-enlistments he opened and operated his own TV repair shop in Oakland, California. He later returned to Arkansas where he worked at local saw mills. He was a jack of all trades; well rounded in carpentry, plumbing, electricity and many other skills, including baking and cooking.
Emmanuel was always a very caring light-hearted and entertaining individual, who had a genuine love for children. He was known for his joyful personality and he will be truly missed. He entered into eternal rest on October 5, 2018 at his home in Bearden. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Jacquelyn (November 2, 1988) and a brother, James Davis.Emmanuel was blessed with one son, Darrel Emmanuel Taylor; a daughter, Talie Taylor. Acts 26:18 18 to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'
