Evelyn Deloris Davis was born in San Diego, California on August 13, 1945. She was the 6th child of eleven children born to Gladie Davis and Hattie Mae Jones Davis.
At an early age she was baptized and became a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. There she served as Senior Usher. She was a 1963 graduate of San Diego High School and attended ECC Community College in San Diego where she studied Cultural Complexity.
In 1968, she joined Williams James Jones II., in Holy Matrimony and to this union they welcomed their only son, William Jones, III, in October of 1969.
Evelyn began her career at Bank of America as a bank teller. For many years she carried out her friendly duties greeting and assisting customers until she started working for Presidio Components. There she produced high quality ceramic capacitors for space, military, microwave, fiber optic and custom applications. For over two decades, endless days in and out, Evelyn faithfully worked until her retirement.
Outside the enjoyment of faithfully serving the Lord and Ushering, Evelyn enjoyed gardening, cooking, pottery and traveling to visit her grandchildren.
Early Tuesday morning on April 8, 2025, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, auntie, and friends transitioned into eternal life.
