Floyd E. Purifoy was born on June 8, 1955 in Bluff City, Arkansas to the union of Early Purifoy and Blanch Gulley Purifoy.
He accepted Christ at a young age and was a life long member of St. John Baptist Church. He was a 1972 graduate of Prescott High School and a longtime employee of Anthony Timber and Lumber Company.
He was a quiet, laid-back guy who enjoyed the simple pleasures that life offered. He passed from this life on July 22, 2020 at Wadley Regional Medical Center in Hope, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Ola Jean Purifoy and Orean Purifoy; and brothers, Early Purifoy, Jr., Carl Purifoy and Odell Purifoy.
He leaves to cherish his wife, Tanisha Purifoy; three sisters, Murine Morris of Camden, AR, Tanya Fort Purifoy of Rosston, AR and Shirley Ann Purifoy of Bluff City, AR; and a brother, Andre Purifoy of Bluff City, AR. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousin and friends.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 1, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John Cemetery in Bluff City, Arkansas with Rev. Herbert Fort, eulogist.
