Frederick Tilden Winfrey

Frederick Tilden Winfrey was born into this life on March 16, 1957, in Forrest City, Arkansas to Elmond J. and Mary Ophelia Winfrey. Fred was as real as they come. He enjoyed life to the fullest and cherished all his relationships with family and friends. Fred would keep anyone laughing, with his theatrical storytelling, witty sense of humor, and his unique way of giving life lessons. Fred never met a stranger, and when you did meet him, you became family.

He passed from this life on September 17, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmond J. and Mary Ophelia Winfrey and his siblings Gail Winfrey, Linda Davis, Keith Winfrey, Barry Winfrey, Sandra Johnson, and Betty Brown. Lifelong friends, Rocky Sadler, Columbus Mahan, and Sonny Burrows.

Frederick leaves to honor and celebrate his life’s journey: His wife, Barbara Winfrey of Bismarck, AR; his two daughters, Katrina (Chris) Gordon of Hot Springs and Alisha (Haley) Winfrey of Hot Springs; a bonus daughter, Tameka Nelson; five grandchildren, Audrianna and Braylee Winfrey, Colton Gordon, Kaedin Fuqua, Zoey Gordon, and four bonus grandchildren, Kason Brown, Adrianna Newborn, Stephen and Jeremiah Kelley; one special nephew, Corey Davis of Hot Springs; four siblings, Reverend Alex (Brenda) Winfrey, Roy (Margaree) Winfrey, Vicky (Oscar) Ellis, Angenett Winfrey, many brothers and sister in law, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends.

Pallbearers will be The Nighthawk Athletics and the honorary pallbearers will be Corey Davis, Chris Gordon, Haley Winfrey, Melvin “Killa” Davis, Houston Brown, Reverend Alex Winfrey, Roy Winfrey, Oscar Ellis, Peppers, and Reggie.

Visitation will be at Williams Funeral Home, 1517 Caddo Street, Arkadelphia on Friday, October 1, 2021 from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at the Caruth-Hale Life Celebration Center, 2529 Airport Road, Hot Spring, AR with Rev. Austin Hill, officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Garden Cemetery, 2828 Airport Road, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
