Gleeny “Woody” Graham was born in Gurdon, Arkansas to the union of Dewood and Blanchie Glover Graham on September 25, 1940. He accepted Christ at a you age and was a member of Muldrew Chapel A.M.E. Church. Woody was a 1960 graduate of Bell High School. He made friends easily and often wore an inviting smile.
Woody worked for over 30 years at International Paper in Gurdon, Arkansas. He later moved to Texas and enjoyed simple evenings at home watching westerns and talking to “Max” his toy poodle. He was an avid pool player and always welcomed a challenge.
On Tuesday, July 17, 2018 Woody passed into the Lords embrace. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Dicie Johnson and Rosie Warnell; three brothers, Jack Graham, Andrew Graham and Richard Graham and his father-in-law, John Scott.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Brenda Scott Graham; two daughters, Latrice (Brandon) Graham-Watts of Garland, TX and Amena (Hamilton) Williams-Grant of Spring, TX; two grandchildren, Tamia L. Billups and Tra’Von Grant; two sisters, Mary (Rev. Nelson) Farmer of Mobile, AL and Geraldine Morris of Benton Harbor, MI; his mother-in-law, Fannie Scott; brothers-in-law, Phillip Scott, Pierre Scott, and John Scott, Jr.; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Henry ) Wilson, Monica Scott, Donna Scott, Patty Johnson and Sarah McGhee. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
