Gregory Moss was born into this life on June 21, 1965, in Rockford, Illinois to Thomas E. Moss, Sr. and Dorothy Marie Sims Moss. After the passing of his grandfather, Joe Sims, the Moss family moved back to Bluff City. He confessed his belief in Christ and was baptized at St. John Baptist Church in Bluff City.
Greg met Vanessa, the two formed a union where two children were born, and although their marriage ended, they remained best friends until his death. He was a great father who meant what he said and said what he meant. His natural wit and humor could never be duplicated. He worked as a truck driver for both Hines Trucking and Kirk Bean Trucking. He drove across the country making friends in the trucking industry. His CB handle was "Peck".
By all accounts, he was a “jack of all trades,” but his passion was auto mechanics. He used his skilled hands to repair, fix, and replace parts on several cars and trucks. He was the “go-to” man for any solution to a car problem. His greatest hobby was racing motorcycles. He was a person who didn’t mind helping anybody. One of his greatest joys was spending memorable moments with family and friends, both young and old.
He passed from this life on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, with his family by his side. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Allen; his father, Thomas Moss, Sr.; and his brother, Steven Moss.
