H E R STORY
A long time ago, a man named Lee Vester “Putsy” Blakely met a woman named Levester Warren. They fell in love, got married and God blessed them with a bundle of joy named Jeannette on July 13, 1960. She was a bundle and you could tell she was full of joy because she just smiled from ear to ear. As Jeannette grew up she loved everyone and was loved by everyone. She attended the Oak Grove School System and loved being a cheerleader. Jeannette was a person who believed that if you wanted something, work for it. So, at the age of 16 she began working at Hudson Foods in Hope, Arkansas, which later became Tyson Foods. She graduated from Oak Grove High School in 1978.In February 1981, she joined the United States Army Reserve and left for Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. She completed her training and was a member of the 444th Maint in Camden while continuing to work at Tyson Foods, where she worked for 41 years. On January 31, 1984, she gave birth to her first child, Recarto. In June of 1985, she started dating a young man named John A. Fort. They fell in love and on May 7, 1988, they were married. On June 10, 1989, God blessed them with Whitney. Jeannette loved her family and was greatly loved by them. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Willisville where Rev. Edward Smith, Sr., is the pastor. Jeannette served as first lady at Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Emmet where her husband, John is the pastor. She loved serving as first lady and filled many roles at the church; while at the same time keeping Pastor John’s head straight.Jeannette made her exit from this life and her entrance into the next on Friday, October 5, 2018.
