Jeffrey Bernard Curry, Sr.

November 16, 1966 — March 22, 2023

Camden

Jeffrey Bernard Curry, Sr., was born in November 16, 1966 in Camden, Arkansas to the union of William H. Curry and Elsie R. Morgan Curry.

He attended Fairview High School and graduated in 1985. He married Tonya Dunn and to this union a son and daughter were born. Jeff learned some things the hard way and he used those lessons to advise, encourage and give hope to others. He always had a passion for “big trucks”. Jeff worked as a truck driver for Premier Concrete in Camden. Motivated to be an independent driver, he purchased his own 18-wheeler and had plans to build a successful trucking business.

Jeff was a member of Rhema Life Church. He enjoyed sports, and gatherings with his family and friends. He was a simple man, who lived with purpose. To be in Jeff’s presence was to know that you were guaranteed to laugh, have fun, smile, learn something you never knew, and most of all you would feel safe and loved.

Jeff slipped away from this life doing what he loved the most on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father, William H. Curry and brother, George Curry.

Those left to remember and never forget are his wife, Tonya Curry; his mother, Elsie Curry; his children, Domonique Curry, Jeff Curry, Jr., Rahaymond Russell, Jordan Rayford and DJ Dunn; five grandchildren; his sister, Angela (Bobby) Manning and his brother, Henry J. (Lisa) Curry; 3 nieces and 3 nephews.  He also leaves, aunts, uncles, cousins, a close friend he loved like a brother, Luther “Big Wayne” Fogle, other friends the Premier Concrete family.

The public may pay respects on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home Van Buren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  A service to remember his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at Greater New Calvary COGIC with Pastor Ivory Joe Williams, Jr., officiating and Minister LaChunda Thomas, ministering of the Word of God.
