Brother Jerry Taylor was born on December 25, 1948, in Cameta, Mississippi, Elizabeth Nelson and John T. Taylor welcomed Jerry to the family. He attended school in Anguilla, Mississippi.
Jerry was quiet, mild-mannered, and enjoyed life to it’s fullest. He was known to “give the shirt off his back” and a “protector” of his brothers and sisters. Jerry turned his life around and was baptized on November 15, 2016 in Hope, Arkansas. He loved spending time at the Kingdom Hall and studying the Word. During his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He was a hard worker, being employed at Morse Automotive for years until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Shirley Jean Taylor; son, Darius Taylor; his sister, Otistean Nelson; his brothers, Roger Taylor, James Taylor, Amos Taylor, Ted Taylor, and Eddie Taylor, Sr.
He leaves memories of his life and love with his wife, Callie Wells Taylor; sons, Shaun Taylor and Tony Taylor; his grandchildren, Tyangela Taylor, Elbert Taylor, Dominique Taylor, LaDarryl Coleman, Kayla Johnson, Tiunya Warren, Maurizia Shell and Evelyn Shell; three brothers, Otis Nelson, Jr. of Arkadelphia, AR; Robert (Jerri Ann) Taylor of Milwaukee, WI; Roscoe (Angela) Taylor of Milwaukee, WI; four sisters, Jeanette (James) Stewart of Arkadelphia, AR; Rose M. Johnson of Arkadelphia, AR; Ora Nelson of Arkadelphia, AR; and Pearline Taylor of Chicago, IL; sisters-in-law, Iredell Taylor of Arkadelphia, AR, Joy Beard and Eddie Jean Mitchell of Arkadelphia, AR. He also leaves many nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
