Johnny Samuel Monroe Griffin

February 4, 1979 — October 11, 2021

Johnny Samuel Monroe Griffin was born on February 4, 1979 in Hot Springs, Arkansas to the union of James Williams Griffin, Sr., and Shelia Gale Jones Griffin.

He accepted Christ at a young age and attended Delight High School. He possessed a strong work ethic and worked as a construction laborer. By all accounts he was a “jack of all trades”, but his passion was mechanics. He used his skilled hands to repair, fix and replace parts on motorcycles and cars. He was often the “go-to” man for repairs. Johnny proudly proclaimed that he was too good to be a labeled as a “shade tree” mechanic.

A natural outdoorsman; his favorite hobby was fishing. Johnny was the life of the party. One of his greatest joys was spending memorable moments with relatives and friends, both young and old. He will live on in the hearts of his loved ones and friends. He possessed a friendly spirit and never met a stranger. He meant what he said, and said what he meant. His natural wit and humor could never be duplicated.

Family, as well as friends, will miss his strength, smile and love, but will never forget his spirit and compassion. He passed into the Lord’s embrace on Monday, October 11 2021, in Benton, Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father, James William Griffin, Sr.

Johnny leaves his mother, Shelia Griffin of Gurdon, AR; his daughter, Kelli Cheyenne Griffin of Longview, TX; his fiancé, Angie Clemenson of Benton, AR; his bonus children, Isabella King, David King and Savannah King; one grandchild, Aubrey Pierce; a bonus grandchild, Rosie King; one sister, Karen and Joey Howell of Gurdon, AR; four brothers, William Griffin of Benton, AR, Daniel Griffin of Gurdon, AR, DeWayne Gibson of Sheridan AR and Crag Griffin of Ohio; his nieces and nephews, Karen and Joey’s children Kaylan Howell, Misty Jones, Tiffany Quillin and Josh Howell; JW children’s children, Halee Griffin, Ashton Griffin and Keelea Griffin; Daniels daughter, Lexi Griffin; Craig’s children, Brittany Griffin, Colton Griffin and Devon Martin; DeWayne’s children Samantha Gibson and Sheldon Gibson. He also leaves several cousins and numerous friends.
